Pizza dough recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ teaspoons (tsp) of salt
  • 6 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 pound (lb) of warm water
  • ½ tablespoon (tbsp) + 1 teaspoon (tsp) of active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ tablespoons (tbsp) of granulated sugar
  • ½ cup of olive oil

Directions

  1. Place the salt in the bottom of a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the flour.
  3. In a second bowl, mix the water, yeast, and sugar.
  4. Mix the oil into the second bowl.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
  6. Mix for 7 to 10 minutes on low speed until smooth and elastic.
  7. If you can stretch the dough and see light through it without the dough breaking, it’s ready. If not, mix a little longer.
  8. Divide the dough into pieces weighing 8 ounces (oz) each.
  9. Wrap each piece and freeze.
  10. When you’re ready to use, thaw out a piece of dough and roll it out to the thickness you like.

Notes

Your measuring spoon set may have tbsp, TBS, T, TB, or Tbl on it. They all mean tablespoon.
