Ingredients
- ½ cup of shortening
- 3 tablespoons (tbsp) of Splenda
- 1 egg
- ½ cup of skim milk
- 2 tablespoons (tbsp) of water
- 1 teaspoon (tsp) of vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups of cake flour
- ½ teaspoon (tsp) of salt
- 2 teaspoons (tsp) of baking powder
- 2 teaspoons (tsp) of ground cinnamon
Directions
- Put the shortening in a mixing bowl, and mix by itself for 5 minutes.
- Add the Splenda.
- Mix for another 5 minutes.
- Add the egg, milk, water, and vanilla extract.
- Mix until combined.
- Into another bowl, sift the cake flour, salt, baking powder, and ground cinnamon.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix, forming a dough.
- Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface until ¼ inch thick.
- Cut into cookie shapes with cookie cutters.
- Place the cookies on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes.
