Low-carb barbecue sauce recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ounce (oz) of vegetable oil
- 8 ounces (oz) of onions, diced small
- 1 ounce (oz) of chopped garlic
- 10 ounces (oz) of ketchup
- 8 ounces (oz) of no salt beef stock
- 6 ounces (oz) of red wine vinegar
- 3 ounces (oz) of sugar substitute
- 1 ounce (oz) of dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons (tbsp) of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Cayenne pepper, to taste
Directions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the onions and garlic and turn the heat down to low.
- Cook the onions and garlic until tender, stirring often.
- When the onions start to turn clear, add the rest of the ingredients.
- Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
